Devil: Season Two; Patrick Dempsey Thriller Series returns on The CW this summer – canceled + renewed TV shows

The CW made a deal with Devil. The Italian series was renewed for a second season abroad in April 2020. Now, The CW has acquired the rights to broadcast the second season in the United States and will air the episodes this summer.

An international thriller series that Devil TV Show Stars Alessandro Borghi, Patrick Dempsey, Laia Costa, Kasia Smutniak, Lars Mikkelsen, Malachi Kirby, Paul Chowdhry, Pia Mechler, Harry Michell and Sallie Harmsen. Set in 2011, the story follows Massimo Ruggero (Borghi), the charismatic but ruthless trading head of American New York – London Bank (NYL), one of the world’s most important investment banks. His mentor and father figure is NYL CEO Dominic Morgan (Dempsey). After a scandal, Dominic appoints another colleague as Vice CEO instead of Massimo. Convinced the scandal was staged, Massimo investigates and then finds himself the prime suspect in a murder investigation. With the help of his squad and a group of hacktivists, Massimo struggles to clear his name and becomes embroiled in an intercontinental financial war. With the “devils” pulling the strings of the world, Massimo must choose between fighting them or joining them.

Airing Wednesday night, the first season of Devil earned an average rating of 0.09 in the 18-49 demographic and 436,000 viewers. The 10 episodes were broadcast in autumn 2020.

The second season is expected to have eight episodes and begin airing Thursday June 30th.
