Hacktivist group Anonymous promises to investigate BAYC

A video by Anonymous Group has surfaced on Twitter, in which the hacker group promises to investigate allegations of links between Bored Apes’ NFT collection and Nazi symbolism.

The BAYC founders have publicly denied the allegations.

Anonymous said BAYC collections have faced several heinous allegations — including racism, monkeyism, the occult and even pedophilia — that are under investigation. The hacktivist group added that it will publish its findings regularly.

The hacktivist group said the video was a friendly message to the Bored Ape community.

Ryder Ripps and Bored Monkeys

Accusations about Yuga Labs and Bored Apes Yacht Club Collection with Nazi symbolism started with Ryder Ripps.

While the collection’s founders have released multiple statements to deny links to Nazism and other accused concepts, Ripps stands by his claims and Yuga Labs is suing for false allegations.

Meanwhile, some within the community questioned if this is the real Anonymous group while others think the video is from Ripps and his team.

Before the video was published on Twitter, an anonymous Facebook page was verified Posted On August 9th, he called out @nxg4n to “keep up the good work”. The now-deleted post also mentioned Ryder Ripps and Pauly Cohen.

A look at nxg4n tweets showed that only conspiracy theories about Yuga Labs are tweeted there. Nobody knows who is behind the account.
