The online news platform, Premium Times official Twitter name @PremiumTimesng, which was hacked on Friday night, has been recovered by the news platform.
The news platform confirmed this in a statement on Saturday morning, saying it now has full control over the account.
After the account was hacked by some suspected scammers, it was seen sharing crypto-related content on Friday.
The management of Premium Times had pointed out in a statement that the hackers had changed the account’s access data.
The statement read: “Around 4:52 PM Nigerian time on Friday, the Premium Times (@PremiumTimesng) Twitter account was hacked. The hackers have since posted unsavory tweets on the account and changed login credentials, even with 2FA enabled.”

Confirming the account was recovered on Saturday, Premium Times tweeted: “Special Announcement: We would like to inform our valued readers that we have regained control of our Twitter account which was hacked a few hours ago. We now have full control of ours @premiumtimesng. Thank you all for your support and patronage.”
