Windows 10 now annoys users with Microsoft Bing warnings – OSnews

A new update has brought back Microsoft’s recommendation for Bing and Chromium Edge under Windows 10. After Microsoft Edge 91, Windows 10 has now started to display a pop-up message that is displayed via Windows 10’s built-in notification center.

The Nag prompt is appealing to users about the benefits of using Microsoft Bing as the default search engine. And as you might imagine, this prompt only comes up when Microsoft Edge isn’t the default browser or you’ve manually switched from Bing to another search engine.

Apple and Microsoft are cramming more and more ads into their platforms – platforms you pay to use, which makes the practice even more hostile. I’m so glad I left Windows, macOS, and iOS behind – they treat users like credit cards on their feet. It’s awful.
